we were introduced to this cheese 2yrs. ago and continue to buy it by the 5# block whenever we are near Decatur Dairy. Excellent alone but wonderful melted on any Italian food or a slice of Italian bread.
Great cheese, even for non-cheese lovers!

I'm not a cheese person. I stick to mozzeralla string cheese if I'm consuming cheese that isn't in or on something. My husband, however, is a bit of a cheese aficionado, so I get to taste tiny bits of lots of cheeses. My first bit gave me enough taste to ask for another, slightly bigger piece. The smoothness of the flavor and the tang of basil is a beautiful flavor without being too overpowering. If you want a mild cheese with great character, this is it. I'm hooked.

This cheese is fantastic - the base (Farmer's) is a nice creamy clean tasting cheese and the addition of the fresh basil is in divine. The proportion of flavors is perfect!
